Sun Mi leaves Wonder Girls?

I don't like to begin my first 2010 post with a very depressing news, but it is reported that Sun Mi will leave Wonder Girls.

On their official English website, www.wondergirlsworld.com, an official statement from JYPE is up.

Sun Mi had a truly amazing experience in the U.S. with opening guests for the Jonas Brothers as well as performing their hit single 'Nobody' on So You Think You Can Dance. However, she often thought about pursuing her academic career. (Those of you don't know, Sun Mi quit from her high school to come over to the U.S..) After a lengthy discussion with her family, JYP, Wonder Girls members and herself, she will return to Korea and prepare to go to university.

JYPE commented that they will support her with vocal and dancing lessons when she wants to come back to perform, but it is unlikely that she will return as a member of Wonder Girls.

Honestly, I am very upset about all of this. I respect Sun Mi's decision because hey, I am same age as her and can totally understand her wish to pursue her academic studies. However, I hate the fact that JYP replaced Sun Mi's position with a new member named Lim. How is it possible? When I first read the news, I was just thinking that Sun Mi would return to Wonder Girls after a year or so, but replacing her permanently?! I simply couldn't take the fact.

I'm sure I'm not the one who's feeling like this. C'mon, Wonder Girls cannot be the same Wonder Girls without any of the 5 members - Sun Ye, Ye Eun, Yoo Bin, So Hee and Sun Mi. No offence to Lim, 'the new member', but this is the truth.

The new member 'Lim'

Wonder Girls' Korean fan club is very shocked about all of this event, and posted what they will demand from JYPE regarding Sun Mi's leave. One of them is that when Sun Mi returns, she will talk to her fans directly and explain exactly why she is leaving. Many fans are suspicious that she might be forced to leave Wonder Girls because similar events have happened before in JYPE: Hyun Ah and Jay Park's leaves.

If Sun Mi's really leaving, I just hope that she explains to us the real reason of the leave.

WG Sunye gets a b-cake from Jonas Bros.

On Sunye (Sun)'s birthday, Jonas Brothers brought a gorgeous cake and wished her a very happy birthday! I am so happy for Sunye!

Wonder Girls added on IHeartRadio

Another great news for the Wonder Girls: they are added on "IHeartRadio.com"!
Addition to that, they have been selected as Clear Channel's Artist to Watch.
It's so great to hear them getting recognized from many radio stations.

If you go to this website, you can see their biography and listen to their first US single, Nobody.

4Minute's Real Life will be aired

4Minute members' real life will be aired through Mtv for 4 weeks.
The program is called "Mtv 4Minute" and everyday a 4-minute video clip would be broadcasted and after that week, the combination of all 4-minute video clips for the previous week will be aired as a complete episode.

There's not additional information about this, so I'll update more information.

Big Bang's Dae Sung will take 8 weeks to cure

Famous male group, Big Bang's member Dae-Sung had an accident on the highway on Aug. 11.
He was on the way back home from filming "Family Outing" and his car slipped off the slippery road due to rain. The car's rear hit the guardrail and as a result, Dae-Sung got several damages.

At first, the diagnosis predicted a total of 4 weeks for a complete cure of his injuries, but there were additional damages on his eye. Therefore, another 4 weeks were added for his healing.

The YG Entertainment said that he will miss 2-4 episodes of "Family Outing" and his cast of the musical "Shouting" would not happen.

This picture shows how horrible the accident was ------------------------>

Get well Dae-Sung!

Bi(Rain)'s Fans Will Advertise Globally To Show Their Trust

Recently, Rain is having a difficult time over a lawsuit for the cancellation of his concert in Hawaii. Jin Young Park and Rain are to give $8,000,000 to Click Entertainment for the abrupt cancellation. However, according to someone from his office, Rain is only to pay about $2,350,000.

Anyways, since Rain's integrity has been ruined, his fans have come together to make world-wide advertisements that say "To Rain, the stage is a promise to his fans. We Believe In RAIN!".[I translated from Korean to English]

I admire their love and passion to Rain.

A new challenge - BoA is going to USA

BoA is apparently going to a broad music market, the U.S. music market at the age of 22.(in Korean way, 21)

There was news that SM entertainment (this is where Boa belongs to) has opened SM USA and it will give many opportunities to their people to enter the U.S. market.

Obviously, BoA was considered to be the number one person among them and here the news is issued.

Boa has made a tremendous success in Japan and many parts of Asia countries.

I'm really proud of her and hope that she does great job in North America!
Good Luck!
